Dave Congalton celebrates 20 years of live and local radio in San Luis Obispo on 920 KVEC AM. His show airs every weekday afternoon, serving as a valuable forum for members of our community. While not primarily a music show, Dave has always made time for musicians who have upcoming shows or new albums to promote. He also carries on the KVEC tradition of broadcasting live music, which goes back over sixty years. You can call in during the show to request your favorite Bob and Wendy song. Call the Studio Line at 805 543-8830.

Ted Waterhouse invites an assortment of musicians to perform three or four songs each. He has been doing this for years and it is fun, accessible, and informal.
Out of left field, Ranchers for Peace happened rather by accident, unless you count family planning. Ray Duncan, daughter of Charles Duncan, sings genetically linked harmonies on his little miracles of songs, and she will also perform her own powerful music. Charles produced Bob and Wendy's album, Behind the Blue, which wound up at #12 on the Freeform Amarcana Chart. Come and hear everyone making beautiful music together.

We like to step outside our own music sometimes and work with our friends. Andrew Beacock is an English folk singer whose guitar playing and songs are reminiscent of the sixties British folk of Bert Jansch, Nick Drake and John Renbourn. He has been a regular at Ted Waterhouse's Big Variety Nights, has a wonderful album produced by Charles Duncan, and regularly shames us locals with his understated fashion sense. Listen to Andrew at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/beacock.
Steynberg Gallery, which has become SLO's premier music and art venue, offers the perfect setting for an afternoon of music. The cafe will be open for fair trade coffees and teas, munchies, beer and wine.

Sally Ryder Brady reads from her new book and we play a few songs about relationships.
“A Box of Darkness by Sally Ryder Brady offers a compelling story of love—one of hard truths, tender affection, and an indomitable spirit. Throughout a long marriage this wife enjoyed the wit and intelligence of her husband. She marveled at his capabilities, but she also lived with his attraction to men and his alcoholism, while dreading the rage that could occur during his haze of heavy drink. The story winds back and forth through painful moments and glorious days with this couple and their four children. Brady’s precise and evocative writing keeps you turning the pages, as she reveals a true love story, one you won’t forget. You’ll find here an endurance and compassion that staggers the mind.”
—Elizabeth Cox, bestselling author of The Slow Moon
